Rap Beef

Now....I don't usually comment or even pay attention to rap beefs, HOWEVER, I am a huge Rick Ross advocate and I don't think it would be wise for 50 Cent to beef with him.  50 think he's some kind of hip hop bully.  Certain rappers which will remain nameless have been backing down to him.  50, like they say in Parkway, "You ain't no bear"!  You ain't no King, no bully, and definitely not no real nigga!  Now I know some people are gonna read this and say well damn, Sanchez is a little upset.  Well, YES!  I can personally vouch for the nigga Ross.  I know first hand how it goes down in Miami.  I know this because of reasons I cannot express on the Internet.  Trust me.  I don't have an opinion about the whole corrections officer thing but what's important is that when it comes to "Real Nigga-ness", 50 ain't it.  Yea you might have more money, but you ain't real.  You're a rapper.  Ross is a real nigga!  Comment if you like.  I am done venting!

But please don't say that I didn't warn Mr. Jackson.

Kobe or Michael?

Hey Earth!  Them that know me know that I am a huge basketball fan and I play all the time.  I have been having this debate with a few of my friends and I just want to know what the majority of the world thinks.  I want to know who is the better player: MJ in his prime or Kobe in his prime?  I said Jordan.  Now I know there are plenty of Kobe nut swingers out there who would emphatically disagree with me, but allow me to make my case:

The only reason why people say Kobe is better is because they see him play on a regular basis.  His games are in prime time, he's on SportsCenter, All-Star appearances, etc.  Michael Jordan is retired and trying to build a struggling Charlotte franchise.  His old games are not televised, he doesn't get much press or media attention except for when it comes to the Bobcats.

I guarantee you, if you go to YouTube and you put in "Michael Jordan", you will see just how better he was.  Better at clutch shooting, exploding to the basket, basketball IQ, and  better at knowing how and when to take over a game.  Don't get me wrong now.  Kobe is a BEAST and a highly skilled player and is currently the best player in the world!  (over Lebron but that's another discussion)  He is tremendous at using his left hand, making tough shots, and taking over a game.  Not to mention 81 points in a single contest!  But I have seen both players play, including the playoffs and I have seen Kobe play in person.  Michael Jordan is still and will always be the best player ever to play this game!

Kobe is having a good season but he has yet to master when to assert himself in a game.  I have seen games where the Lakers have been so close and Kobe has failed to do what he has to do.  His nickname is the "Mamba".  Named after a snake which strikes at extreme accuracy and deadliness.  This season he's playing more like a common grass snake.  Come on Kobe!

Happy Inauguration Day

I just want to say Happy Inauguration Day for everyone who supports Barack Obama.  I am fan of his unifying skills.  He is a man of the people.  I hope all of you catch this on television who couldn't get there in person.  I will be watching on cnn.com.  Congrats to the Obamas and I wish him much success in the coming years.

Top Five Dead Or Alive

As hard as it is for me to make this list, it is MY opinion.  This is my list if the top five rappers, Dead or Alive.

1.  Tupac Shakur - Sorry Jay-Z fans.  I am one too but Tupac was a true MC.  Hard core, for the ladies, gangster rap, poet etc.  He could do it all.  A true lyricist that doesn't get his due respect.

2.  Snoop Doog - One word, relevance!  He has managed to stay relavant throughout his entire career.  Avoiding being corny through all of the television coverage he has received.  Anyone go harder than Snoop?

3.  Jay-Z - Need I write more.  He is the greatest writer of our time.  Multi-million record sales and all.  Throw up the ROC signs!

4.  Kanye West - Now people please don't front.....Kanye has come a long way to this point.  He speaks from the heart and to the people.  Lyrically he has stepped his game WAAAAY up!

5.  Lil Wayne - A million records sold in one week.  Jay couldn't even pull that off.  The greatest rapper alive right now is Weezy F. Baby.  Lyrically no one is on his level right now.

Notables: The Game is personally one of my favorite rappers and is one of the hardest guys out there right now.  I respect his flow and his sound.  Lyrically he's a beast.  T.I. is also one worth mentioning as one of the best right now.  I often get asked who is better out of Ludacris and T.I. and the answer is clear, T.I. over Luda all day!

Introduction

Whats Really Good my people.  This is the official Sanchez Blog Site.  I will be here from time to time to let folks know my thoughts on different things.  For instance, am I the only who thinks there was something more to that flight that crashed in the Hudson!  I think it was some sort of conspiracy.  Now....I am no conspiracy theorist, however, it just seems a little fishy.  What do you think?
